Once a major stop on the legendary Chisholm Trail, Fort Worth is the finest place in America to experience our nation’s proud Western heritage. The city honors its distinctive past with the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show & Rodeo every winter, twice daily Longhorn cattle drives on the red brick streets of the Stockyards National Historic District, live bull riding and country music nightly at Billy Bob’s Texas and willie Nelson’s annual Fourth of July Picnic.


For arts and culture, Fort Worth is emerging as the premier destination in the Southwest, with several world-class museums clustered in the Cultural District on the city's near west side; the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon Carter Museum, featuring one of the largest American art and photography collections anywhere; the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame; the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and the Omni Theater; and Casa Mañana Theater.
