◊ Abstract Topics◊ Instruction for speakers
The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for presentation at the 9th International Congress of Neuroimmunology.
Abstracts may only be submitted from this website
In order to standardise the abstract layout, please read the guidelines
carefully.
Guidelines for abstract preparation
- Abstracts may only be submitted via Internet through this website. Abstracts submitted by fax or email will not be accepted
- Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress. The registration can be made also after notification of acceptance.
- Abstracts should contain only original material not published or presented elsewhere prior to 26th October 2008.
- The background and goals of the study should appear clearly to the reader. The methods and results must contain data, and the conclusions should be clearly expressed.
- All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in your text (but not in the title). Example: Multiple Sclerosis (MS), before being used as an abbreviation only. .
- Avoid complex mathematical formulae. For the symbols ≤ or ≥, type instead <= or >=s. For superscript use caret (ˆ) e.g. 10ˆ6 instead of 106. Do not use Greek letters and symbols. Instead of “IFN-Υ” use “IFN-g” or “IFN-gamma”.
- Tables, charts or other graphics may not be included and will be deleted by the editors.
- The abstract text may not be longer than 2500 characters including spaces (excluding title, authors and affiliation).
- Authors should indicate their presentation preference:
- poster presentation only
- oral or poster presentation
The Programme Committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method.
- After your abstract has been submitted, you will receive a disclosure form, that you must fill out and send back. The submission process will not be considered complete until this form has been received. Abstracts without a disclosure form WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- The first step of the submission is the registration. By introducing your e-mail address, you will receive a username and password that will allow you to create your abstract page. You will be able to modify or correct your abstract as many times as you wish, but only before you submit it. No corrections will be allowed after the abstract has been submitted. After the submission, you will receive a confirmation, and the disclosure form.
(If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail please contact abstract@isni2008.org)
If you have difficulties in submitting your abstracts or if you need any further information, please contact the above e-mail address.
